We are not owned by, and do not work on behalf of, any manufacturer, brand or retailer, and no company reviews or approves our guides before they are published.
Websites that used the domain name puppycratesplus.com in earlier years were run by other people and are not connected to the current site or its content.
What we cover
Our guides are organized into these sections: Dog Crate Types, Crate Sizing, Crate Accessories, Crate Training and Buying Guides. Each guide explains what matters for a given situation, which trade-offs to expect and where its advice stops.
How we research
Our content is written by the Puppy Crates Plus editorial team. We base our guides on the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the ASPCA, the Humane Society of the United States, veterinary behavior resources and crate manufacturers’ sizing guides and instructions, and we link to the source when a guide states a figure or a safety point.

Safety and scope
Crates should never be used for punishment or for long periods without breaks, exercise and company. Remove collars with tags and anything a dog can chew and swallow, and stop and consult your veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional if your dog shows distress, panic or injury in a crate.
